Banks in Nigeria need to urgently install monitoring cameras around their ATM posts to capture who hack people's account through these ATM facilities, to check the activities of fraudsters. this has become necessary as some banks that have been taken this step. he said it has helped them to control this trend.
Mr Adegoke, who worked for 38 years with Nigerian Breweries plc before he retired was shocked when he received a letter from his bank confirming that he made his secret pin known to the third party which he denied. he said he never disclosed his pin to anybody and he promise to sue the bank if his money is not returned.
Managing Director of ValueCard Nigeria Ltd, a leading E-payment ,Mr Bukar Kyari told us recently that ATM users should be very careful and should not allow thirt parties use their card because it can lead such a person cloning the card at a later time.
Recently GTB Bank issues a statement to it;s customers drawing attention to the circulation of scam-emails by fraudsters requesting customers to update their account information by clicking on some internet banking links.
The bank therefore advises its customers not to respond to any spurious emails requesting them to provide their account information and ATM PIN.
